BROOKLYN, NY – On Thursday, Jose Solano, a 31-year-old male, was arrested by the 60th Police Department. Solano, a resident of 87 Lexington Avenue, Brooklyn, faces charges of Grand Larceny, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Petit Larceny, and Unlawful Use of a Credit Card.

The charges stem from an incident reported on Saturday, June 10, when an unidentified male individual snatched a bag from a 23-year-old male sleeping aboard the northbound “J” train.

The thief then attempted to purchase a MetroCard using the victim’s credit card. The 83rd Police Department / Transit District 33 are continuing their investigation.
