Woman Critically Injured In D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place early Sunday morning in Southeast D.C.

Shortly before 12:30 am, police arrived at 30th Street near Hartford Street to investigate the sounds of gunshots. At the location, officers found a woman who had been shot in the torso inside of a vehicle. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital. Her condition is listed as critical but stable.
