DAYTON, OH – In the early hours of Sunday, an individual walked into Miami Valley Hospital bearing a gunshot wound. The shooting allegedly occurred in a commercial area in Dayton. An employee at the hospital contacted the Dayton Police Department at 4:23 a.m., following protocol for gunshot wound admissions.
According to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, the incident location was reported to be the 100 block of East 3rd Street, a zone populated by local businesses.
The severity of the gunshot wound is unknown at this time, and no one has been placed under arrest regarding the incident. The Dayton Police Department is actively leading the ongoing investigation.
