Arrest Made in Linden Neighborhood Homicide

COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Police Department has made an arrest in a fatal shooting that took place in the Linden neighborhood on Monday. Following a SoundThinking alert, officers found 31-year-old James Cunningham deceased at the back of a residence on the 1600 block of E. 26th Ave.

nother victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but is expected to survive.

Thomas Hampton, also 31, has been charged with murder and felonious assault in connection with the incident. Investigators have established that an altercation between the victims and the suspect occurred prior to the shooting.
