Man Survives Early Morning Shooting in Rochester

ROCHESTER, NY – On Tuesday morning, Rochester Police found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound on Dewey Avenue near Albemarle Street.

The incident was reported around 3:45 a.m. The man was taken to Strong Hospital and quickly underwent surgery. He is expected to survive.

The man was shot at the intersection of Arborwood Crescent and Electric Ave and managed to drive himself just over a mile away on Dewey Avenue.

The Rochester Police continue to investigate this case and are urging anyone with information to call 911.
