BOSTON, MA – On Monday, Marlon Alexander, a 30-year-old Roxbury resident, was apprehended by District B-2 officers in Dorchester. Responding to a call regarding a firearm around 2:51 PM, officers spotted Alexander attempting to leave the scene on a scooter. Alexander halted abruptly upon spotting the officers, colliding with the front of their cruiser.

Despite resistance from Alexander, the officers managed to handcuff him after a short struggle. During a pat frisk, a loaded firearm fell from Alexander’s hoodie pocket onto the pavement. District detectives secured the firearm for processing.

Subsequent findings revealed Alexander lacked a valid driver’s license. Additionally, during booking, officers found a small plastic bag containing crack cocaine in Alexander’s pants pocket. Alexander is scheduled to appear in Dorchester District Court facing charges that include Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Possession of Class B Drugs, Resisting Arrest, and Operating a Motor Vehicle After Revocation or Suspension.
