Suspect wanted for assault in Midtown subway station attack

NEW YORK, NY – On Sunday, June 4, a dispute on a northbound 1 train near the 50th Street subway station led to an assault.

The New York City Police Department reported that around 09:40 pm, an unknown individual repeatedly punched a 52-year-old man in the head before fleeing the scene.

The victim sustained minor injuries and received treatment at NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue. The suspect, described as a male with a dark complexion, athletic build, between 5’9” to 6’ tall, and approximately 25 to 32-years-old, remains at large.

The Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying the assailant.
