Suspect used blowtorch to rob protected store merchandise in Queens

QUEENS, NY—A bizarre incident unfolded inside a business at the intersection of Austria Blvd and Couch Place as NYPD officers apprehended a suspect who allegedly employed an unconventional method to pilfer locked-up products from a local Walgreens store.

The theft, which involved the suspect wielding a blowtorch, caused a stir among onlookers and left authorities scrambling to catch the brazen thief.

According to eyewitness accounts, the suspect managed to make off with a staggering $448 worth of merchandise before making a swift getaway from the scene.

However, the perpetrator’s elation would be short-lived, as police swiftly launched an investigation to bring the thief to justice.

Officers, aided by citizens who provided information, managed to track down and apprehend the suspect shortly after the incident. The suspect’s identity has not yet been disclosed by the NYPD.
