36-year-Old Dead In D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 36-year-old man was shot and killed late yesterday afternoon in Southeast D.C. The shooting happened at the 2200 Block of Savannah Street.

Officers from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department were dispatched to the scene at around 5:52 pm in response to a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim who had been shot. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services were also present, but after examining the victim, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

36-year-old Alonzo Marshall, of D.C., was identified as the victim.
