Bronx Man Sentenced to Six Years for First-Degree Burglary

BRONX, NY – Pedro Hernandez, a resident of East 168th Street, Bronx, has been recently sentenced to six years in prison following a jury trial verdict on first-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief. On April 7, 2019, at 7:30 a.m., Hernandez and his associates pursued two individuals into a building, causing damage in the process.

The chase resulted from an altercation that occurred in front of 2177 Quimby Avenue. After breaking the door of the building, Hernandez and his group unsuccessfully attempted to force entry into an apartment where the pursued individuals had sought refuge.
