Newark police seek pair in gas station armed robbery

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Public Safety Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a gas station robbery on Friday.

The incident took place at the Delta Gas Station on Mt. Prospect Avenue at around 8:01 a.m. The two suspects assaulted the gas station employee and made off with $300-$400. They were last seen fleeing the scene in a black Mercedes Benz reported stolen from Hillside.

One of the suspects is described as 5’9″ with a medium build, while the other is 5’7″ with a thin build. Both were wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information is can contact the Newark Public Safety Department.
