Retired Fire Chief Pleads Guilty to Possessing Lewd Images of Children

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA – Frank Svitak, a retired fire chief from the Goshen Fire Department in New Jersey, pleaded guilty to child [censored]ography charges on Thursday.

Svitak is scheduled for sentencing before Judge Jessica Brewbaker on October 3.

Charges against Svitak came to light on January 11, when the Cumberland County Criminal Investigation Division, with assistance from the Pennsylvania State Police and Homeland Security, conducted a search at his residence in Plainfield. Approximately 111 videos and images of child [censored]ography were discovered on his devices.
