Double Shooting Leaves One Dead In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a double shooting that left an unidentified man dead early Saturday morning in Southeast D.C.

Officers arrived at the 3000 block of Martin Luther King, Jr Avenue shortly after midnight after receiving a report of a shooting. At the location police discovered an unidentified man who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A short time later, another adult male who had been shot was found at a nearby hospital where he was being treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

The identities of both victims have not been released at this time.
