HARRISON TOWNSHIP, OH – A 16-year-old boy was injured in an accidental shooting last Friday. At approximately 1:15 p.m., Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an incident at the Salem Beverage and Market in the 3400 block of Salem Avenue.

On arrival, deputies found the teenager with a gunshot wound to his right knee, behind a black-colored sports utility vehicle. Early investigations suggest that the teenager might have accidentally shot himself while handling a firearm in the vehicle. The injured boy was transported to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
