CLEVELAND, OH – On Wednesday, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley announced that 30-year-old Timmeka Eggleton has been indicted by a grand jury for the murder of her three-year-old son.

On June 14, medical personnel responded to a report of an unresponsive child in a stroller near East 79th Street and Euclid Avenue in Cleveland. The child was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Cleveland Police Division’s subsequent investigation revealed that Eggleton had given false details about the events leading to her son’s death. The child’s death was declared a homicide due to blunt-force trauma by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner.

Eggleton now faces charges of aggravated murder, two counts of murder, felonious assault, and endangering children.
