Suspected arrested in Queens attempted rape case

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department has announced the arrest of Kevin Campos, a 28-year-old male in connection with a sexual abuse incident that happened on Saturday in Queens.

Campos is facing charges of sexual abuse, forcible touching, and assault, according to the NYPD.

The incident occurred on Saturday at approximately 1:58 PM.

A 20-year-old female was walking near the intersection of 27th Street and 30th Avenue when an unidentified male approached her. The suspect reached his hand up her shorts, made physical contact with her private area, and subsequently pushed her against a fence.

In an act of self-defense, the victim fought back, prompting the assailant to flee on foot. He was last seen heading southbound on 27th Street toward 30th Avenue.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries during the incident.
