Armed Robbery Reported in Philadelphia’s Overbrook Neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking information regarding a commercial robbery that took place last Thursday in the Overbrook neighborhood.

At approximately 12:30 PM, an unidentified male reportedly entered Deb Deli and Grocery located at 6572 Lansdowne Avenue.

According to the police, the suspect approached the counter, brandished a black handgun, and demanded money. He then proceeded to go behind the counter, still pointing the gun at a female employee, and took money from the register before fleeing the scene.

The department has warned the public not to approach the suspect but to call 911 immediately if spotted. Tips can also be submitted by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477) or texting the same number.
