Foot Pursuit in Atlantic City Ends with Arrest, Gun, Drugs

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – On Sunday evening, the Atlantic City Police Department responded to a tip-off regarding a man armed with a handgun in the beach block of California Avenue. Detective Christopher Dodson, with support from Detectives Aaron Jones and Eric Evans, as well as Officer Brandon Bower, located the suspect, 29-year-old Quadry Wise from Washington Township, NJ.

Upon spotting the detectives, Wise attempted to evade them but was apprehended while attempting to climb a fence. Following his capture, a handgun and 58 grams of marijuana, packaged for distribution, were found on his person.

Wise now faces multiple charges including unlawful possession of a weapon, obstruction of justice, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) with the intent to distribute. He is currently detained at the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The public is reminded that these charges remain allegations, with Wise considered innocent until proven guilty.
