Four Injured Including a 12-Year-Old Girl in Bronx Shooting

NEW YORK, NY – Four people, including a 12-year-old girl, were injured in a shooting incident late Sunday night in the Bronx’s Mount Hope section. The incident took place just after 10 p.m. on Eastburn Avenue off the Grand Concourse.

The New York Police Department reports that a 35-year-old woman was shot in the foot, a 23-year-old man was hit in the leg, a 22-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the foot, and the 12-year-old girl was shot in the shoulder.

No suspect is in custody as of Monday morning in relation to the Mount Hope shooting.

In a separate incident, police are also searching for a suspect involved in a shooting that injured a 5-year-old girl in the Bronx on Friday. The girl was in the back of a car with her father when she was struck by a bullet.

The New York Police Department assures that measures are being taken as they continue their investigations and attempt to maintain safety in the city amidst the ongoing incidents.
