WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a startling revelation, the U.S. Secret Service has officially confirmed the discovery of cocaine at the White House on the eve of the Fourth of July, resulting in an evacuation of the West Wing, according to a report by ABC News.

During a routine security sweep of the building on Sunday, Secret Service agents found the illicit substance in the West Wing, leading to immediate suspicions of anthrax and subsequent evacuation. However, after conducting a drug test, the agency confirmed on Wednesday that the substance was indeed cocaine, as reported by ABC News.

The incident occurred two days after President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, was observed leaving the White House premises. It remains unclear how the cocaine, categorized as a Schedule II drug and illegal to possess under federal law, made its way into the building. White House staff members are required to disclose any use of narcotic or psychotropic drugs and are strictly prohibited from their consumption. In fact, some individuals were dismissed in 2021 for having consumed cannabis.

Although staff members occasionally accompany friends and acquaintances on West Wing tours, which are not part of the regular White House tour route available to the general public, the Secret Service has not confirmed whether these tours played a role in the introduction of cocaine into the premises.

As of now, the White House has not provided an immediate response to requests for comment on the matter.

The significance of this discovery cannot be understated, as it has already sparked intense discussions among various circles. Meghan McCain, daughter of the late Senator John McCain, tweeted on July 4th, highlighting the stark contrast in media reactions that would likely occur if such an event had taken place during a Republican presidency.
