Hagerstown Teenager Arrested for Vehicle Fire

HAGERSTOWN, MD – On Monday, Deputy State Fire Marshals charged Jaden William Kline, an 18-year-old Hagerstown resident, for setting a 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser on fire on June 25. The Hagerstown Fire Department and Hagerstown Police Department responded to the fire around 3:00 AM at 219 Frederick Street.

Investigators from the Office of the State Fire Marshal identified Kline as a possible suspect through interviews and surveillance video. Kline confessed during an interview at his home, leading to his arrest. He was charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree malicious burning, and is currently held at the Washington County Detention Center without bond.
