Two charged for shooting of Bronx teen

BRONX, NY – Anthony Erans, a 19-year-old man residing at 3631 Olinville Avenue, and Shawn Givens, 25, from 398 East Main Street, Jefferson Valley, have been arrested by the New York City Police Department (NYPD) following a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, June 24.

At approximately 7:46 pm, in the vicinity of Tratman Avenue and Saint Peters Avenue, two unidentified groups exchanged gunfire. A 17-year-old male was struck in the back during the gunfire exchange and was privately transported to Montefiore Medical Center. The unidentified individuals then fled in unknown directions.

Erans has been charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment. Meanwhile, Givens faces charges for criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. The investigation is ongoing, and the NYPD is asking the public to provide any relevant information through the Crime Stoppers Hotline.
