Car Crash Leads To Shooting In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department are asking for assistance in identifying a vehicle connected to a shooting incident that took place in Southeast D.C. early yesterday morning. The police are appealing to the community for any information that could aid in the identification of the vehicle involved.

Around 1:05 am, a vehicle collision occurred at the 4000 block of 9th Street, involving both victims and suspects. During the incident, the suspects brandished handguns, prompting the victims to flee in their vehicle. As the victims made their escape, the suspects fired shots at them before quickly leaving the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

A nearby surveillance camera captured the suspect’s vehicle, described as a silver Jeep Cherokee, with damage to the front left bumper and panel area . This case remains under investigation.
