ASHEVILLE, NC – The Asheville Police Department has initiated an investigation following a violent event at Maple Crest Apartments on Lee Garden Lane just after midnight on Wednesday. A male victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds was found at the scene and was given medical attention before being transferred to the hospital in critical condition.
The Asheville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division Detectives and Forensic Technicians arrived soon after to commence their investigation and managed to recover 50 shell casings from the scene. Anyone with information is asked to send an anonymous tip by texting TIP2APD to 847411.
