Man Fleeing From Eviction Jumps To His Death

WILKES-BARRE, PA – On the morning of Wednesday, Wilkes-Barre Police was dispatched to the area of 300 Park Ave in support of a State Constable. The Constable, who was serving an eviction notice, was reportedly assaulted by a male apartment resident with a chemical spray.

The man, refusing officer entry, maintained non-compliance with the police outside his door. During the encounter, the individual exited the building through a window and fell several stories, leading to fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene, despite emergency treatment by summoned paramedics.

The Pennsylvania State Police Forensics Unit from the Wilkes-Barre Barracks secured and processed the scene. The Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office Detective Division has commenced an investigation into the incident.
