Trenton Woman Arrested for Deadly Stabbing of Another Woman

TRENTON, NJ – The Mercer County Homicide Task Force recently arrested Shawnette Johnson, a 42-year-old woman from Trenton, in connection with a stabbing homicide that took place on Edgewood Avenue. The incident occurred on Monday, June 19, around 10:45 PM.

Johnson was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force and has been charged with first-degree murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree tampering with evidence. The prosecutor’s office is in the process of filing a motion to detain Johnson.
