Man Arrested in Brooklyn Over Attempted Murder Charge

BROOKLYN, NY – As part of an ongoing investigation, 23-year-old Adisa Bekabantu was arrested by the New York City Police Department on Friday, at around 5:30 pm. Bekabantu, a resident of 1964 Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn, has been charged with attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The same police department seeks assistance from the public in identifying an individual involved in a separate assault incident that took place that day. Around 6:05 am, a 29-year-old woman waiting for the bus at 1717 Foster Avenue was approached from behind and stabbed in the head with an unknown object. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. The suspect was last seen wearing a black shirt, white pants, black sneakers, and was carrying a black bag.
