NYPD investigating armed robbery at 167th Street smoke shop

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department seeks public help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred on Friday, around 10:25 am. An unknown individual entered a smoke shop located at 212 East 167 Street, brandished a firearm, and forced the two store employees into a rear room. After restraining the employees, the suspect stole approximately $500 and a cellphone, then fled eastbound on 167 Street on foot. Neither of the store employees was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, between 35 to 50 years old, and around 5’8” to 5’9” tall. He was last seen wearing a white and black baseball cap, a white mask, black hooded sweatshirt, blue gloves, black pants, and black shoes.
