Aberdeen car thief arrested in East Orange

ABERDEEN, NJ – The Aberdeen Township Police Department recently dealt with a series of burglaries involving motor vehicles during the early morning hours on Saturday.

Among the reports, one resident had their motor vehicle stolen. As the investigation progressed, Detective Osadacz and Patrolman Darocha focused their attention on the East Orange/Newark area due to connections the suspect had within that community.

While conducting a canvass in East Orange, they located the stolen vehicle, which was being driven by a male individual. With the assistance of the East Orange Police Department, a motor vehicle stop was conducted, resulting in the arrest of the male subject identified as Meranvialle Mickenson.

The arrest took place without any further incidents. During a search conducted as part of the arrest, various stolen items from multiple motor vehicles within the jurisdiction of Aberdeen Township were recovered.
