Sunday storm floods Palisades Parkway

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY – Flooding was reported through New York state as a passing storm drenched the state Sunday night.

Rockland County, specifically the Palisades Interstate Parkway and State Route 9W, experiencd significant issues due to heavy flooding and washouts.

As a result, it is advised to avoid the area.

The northbound section of Palisades Parkway is closed from exit 14 to Long Mountain Traffic Circle due to these adverse conditions.

Motorists are urged to find alternative routes and exercise caution if traveling in the vicinity.
