Tampa woman wins million dollar prize on lottery scratch off ticket

TAMPA, FL – The Florida Lottery announced that Connie Shover, a 64-year-old resident of Tampa, has claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game. Shover visited the Lottery’s Tampa District Office to collect her winnings and decided to receive a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.

The winning ticket was purchased by Shover at Cravings Marketplace, located at 12320 Four Oaks Road in Tampa. As a token of appreciation for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket, the retailer will receive a bonus commission of $2,000.
