Man Charged for Murder Inside Silver Spring Parking Garage

SILVER SPRING, MD – Authorities have apprehended a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a Baltimore man inside a parking garage in Silver Spring. Ramone Christopher Ramsay, a 30-year-old individual, stands accused of fatally shooting Kymani Elijah Bailey in the early hours of Saturday, July 8.

The investigation, led by Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes, Homicide detectives, utilized surveillance footage from Public Parking Garage 3 to identify Ramsay as the suspect.

Additional information revealed that Ramsay had been ejected from a nearby nightclub shortly before the incident occurred.

Preliminary findings indicate that Ramsay allegedly shot Bailey while he was walking with a group of individuals in the parking garage. No discernible connection between the suspect and the victim has been established thus far. On Sunday, July 9, 2023, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Ramsay with first-degree murder and other related offenses.
