Philadelphia police seeking man who beat girfriend’s toddler to death

PHILADELPHIA, PA – District Attorney Larry Krasner, along with the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement partners, are seeking public assistance to locate eight fugitives charged with homicides in Northeast Philadelphia since September 2022. Details about the suspects and their alleged crimes are available on PhillyMostWanted.org.

Among those sought is 34-year-old Justin Akines, who is charged with the fatal beating of his partner’s 4-month-old child in an apartment on the 8200 block of Frankford Avenue on September 4, 2022. The motive for this crime remains unknown to investigators.
