Female Shoplifter Gets Violent at Bronx Store

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help to locate a female individual related to a robbery incident. The event took place on Sunday, June 25, at around 2:20 pm at a commercial establishment located at 2952 3rd Avenue.

The woman attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise when a 55-year-old employee confronted her. The suspect reacted violently, striking the employee on the head with an unknown object before fleeing northbound on 3rd Avenue with the stolen items.

The employee was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a head laceration and a concussion.

The suspect is described as a female with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a pink shirt.
