Teen thwarts Armed Robbery in Brooklyn

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three individuals related to an attempted robbery incident. The event unfolded on Friday, June 23, at about 3:50 pm, as a 17-year-old male was walking near Linwood Street and Liberty Avenue.

The trio approached the teenager and one of them brandished a firearm, pointing it at the young man’s stomach, demanding his cellphone.

The youngster refused and the group promptly fled the scene on foot. The incident resulted in no physical injuries.
