Crash causes power problems in Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ – A motor vehicle accident resulted in a downed utility pole, leading to power outages and the closure of a section of Hooper Avenue in Toms River. The Toms River Police Department issued a warning to residents, urging them to exercise caution and seek alternate routes in the affected area.

The accident occurred earlier today, causing significant disruptions along Hooper Avenue between Indian Hill and Fischer Boulevard. As a result, the authorities were forced to close this section of the road to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians.

Multiple traffic signals in the vicinity have also been affected by the power outages, further complicating the situation. Commuters and residents are advised to approach intersections with non-functioning traffic signals with utmost caution.
