D.C. Police Search For Vehicle Tied to Monday Night Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department detectives are reaching out to the public for help in identifying and locating a vehicle linked to a shooting incident that took place on Monday night in Southeast D.C.

Just after 9 pm, officers arrived at the 2600 Block of Birney Place to investigate a shooting report. At the location, police found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

A nearby surveillance camera captured the suspect’s vehicle. If you have any information about this incident, please take no action but call the police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. This case remains under investigation.
