NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is actively investigating an incident involving an unprovoked attack on a 51-year-old Jewish female victim. The incident occurred on Thursday, at approximately 10:00 a.m. in front of 252 Empire Boulevard.

According to the report provided to the police, the victim was walking along Empire Boulevard when an unidentified male individual approached her from the opposite direction.

Without any exchange of words or apparent provocation, the male intentionally tripped the female, causing her to fall to the sidewalk. As a result of the fall, the victim sustained bruises and abrasions to her hands and knees. After committing the act, the male perpetrator continued walking along Empire Boulevard and was last seen entering the Sterling Street/Nostrand Avenue subway station, specifically the #2/5 line.

Her injuries were not severe, and she was subsequently released.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force has taken over the investigation, recognizing the potential bias-motivated nature of the incident. Authorities are diligently working to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for the unprovoked attack.

The sought individual is described as a male with a dark complexion, thin build, approximately 40 years of age. He was last seen wearing eyeglasses, a camouflage-colored Nike baseball cap, a blue t-shirt, black shorts, and black sneakers.
