Lawsuit Filed Against Property Manager for Unsafe Housing Conditions in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Attorney General Michelle Henry recently announced the filing of a lawsuit against Philadelphia area property management company, SBG Management Services, Inc., and its owner and principal, Philip Pulley. Accusations against the company include failing to maintain safe housing conditions and retaliating against tenants who reported issues.

Tenants at SBG properties, including Lindley Towers and Cresheim Valley Apartments, reportedly encountered numerous issues, such as decaying structures, pest infestations, unsecured doors and locks, leaks, and exposure to sewage and mold. Last year, Lindley Towers residents were at home when the building’s façade collapsed.

The lawsuit seeks restitution for affected tenants and demands that SBG cease lease renewals and rent collection until properties are repaired and all licenses and certifications are up to date. Tenants who have had similar experiences with SBG Management or other defendants are advised to file a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection.
