Teenager Robbed in Laurel Shoe Sale Gone Wrong

LAUREL, MD – A teenager was assaulted and robbed while trying to sell shoes on Wednesday. The robbery occurred in the area of Crumpton South and Federalsburg South in Laurel, around 5:50 p.m. The victim had arranged to sell shoes to an unknown male he had met through social media.

On arrival, he was confronted by five males who assaulted him and stole his backpack, which contained the shoes for sale. The suspects escaped on foot. The teenager did not report any injuries. The Western District Police are investigating the incident and are requesting anyone with information to come forward.
