Police lights at night.

OXON HILL, MD – Detectives from the Homicide Unit are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspects involved in the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Deangelo Washington from Washington, DC, early last Tuesday.

The Homicide Unit released surveillance video of the incident, shedding light on the suspect’s identities and the circumstances leading up to the crime.

On Tuesday, around 4:40 am, police officers were dispatched to a convenience store on the 4400 block of Wheeler Road.

Inside, they found Washington suffering from gunshot wounds. Washington was pronounced dead on the scene, revealing in the initial investigation that he was working in the store at the time of the attack.

The surveillance footage showed the suspects arriving in a red Honda, with two individuals leaving the vehicle to enter the store.

Following a brief exchange with Washington, the suspects shot him and fled the scene. A third suspect was also involved in the shooting. Detectives do not believe this to be a random crime.

The Homicide Unit asked anyone with information about the case to contact them at 301-516-2512.
