GLEN BURNIE, MD – On Thursday, at around 1:40 pm, officers from the Northern District were dispatched to the 100 block of Southbridge Drive following a report of a shooting incident.

A male subject was seen fleeing the scene in a blue sedan, accompanied by a female, after a woman was heard yelling for help.

Officers found no victim or crime scene at the apartment building. Their search led them to a blue Hyundai sedan without registration plates on Faywood Avenue, where they made contact with the sole occupant – the victim of the shooting.

Although the projectiles had only hit his clothing, the Hyundai sedan was reported stolen from a neighboring jurisdiction.

During their investigation, officers located the described female, who had left the Hyundai and was on foot in the area.

Both suspects, identified as 35-year-old Leonus Quinn Matthews Jr of Glen Burnie, and 37-year-old Tiera Nicole Barnett of Crofton, were arrested and charged accordingly. The alleged shooter remains at large. Northern District detectives asked anyone with information to contact them at (410) 222-6135.
