Utica Police Investigating Shooting of 17-Year-Old

UTICA, NY – Utica Police and Fire units responded to an emergency call concerning shots fired on the 1200 block of City St last Thursday at approximately 9:30 p.m. On arriving at the scene, officers found a 17-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his arm and chest.

The young man was promptly transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for treatment, and his condition is currently being monitored. The on-scene investigation revealed that the victim was shot by two separate individuals. Additionally, a loaded 9mm handgun was found in a nearby yard.
