Thunderstorm Cuts Power in Ocean Township

Ocean Township, NJ – A passing storm has caused a power outage in the Sandspoint section of Ocean Township.

As a result, the traffic light at the intersection of Bay Parkway and Route 9 is currently non-operational. The New Jersey Department of Transportation is present at the scene, implementing traffic control measures to ensure safety.

Additionally, Jersey Central Power & Light is actively working to restore power to the affected neighborhood.

At present, the estimated time for power restoration is 8:30 AM. However, please note that this time is subject to change as the situation develops. As a precautionary measure, it is advisable to exercise caution when traveling through the affected area.

Local authorities are addressing the situation, and updates regarding the power outage and traffic conditions will be provided as new information becomes available.
