Juvenile Arrested by Atlantic City Police for Possession of Handgun

Atlantic City, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department recently apprehended a juvenile who was found in possession of a handgun.

On July 14, at 9:44 PM, Officers Gissell Garcia and Syid Evans-White encountered a 15-year-old male inside a convenience store located in the 600 block of New York Avenue.

Following their observations, the officers promptly arrested the juvenile after discovering a loaded handgun tucked in the male’s waistband. The recovered handgun was loaded with hollow-point ammunition and equipped with an extended magazine.

The arrested individual is a 15-year-old male from Atlantic City.

The charges filed against the juvenile include unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, and possession of a large-capacity magazine.

Following the arrest, the male was remanded to the Essex County Youth Facility. It is important to note that charges are merely allegations at this stage, and the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
