MANCHESTER, CT – A man was hospitalized following an officer-involved shooting on Sunday evening in a housing complex on North Main Street, as per the Manchester Police Department.

The incident unfolded around 6 p.m., when police officers responded to a reported domestic dispute. A confrontation ensued between the responding officer and a male individual present at the scene.

The male was subsequently shot by the officer and taken to Hartford Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses report a significant police and EMS presence at the scene.

The Office of Inspector General is conducting the investigation into the officer-involved shooting, and further details will be released in due course.
