GREENSBURG, PA – Isiah Hampton from Arnold pleaded guilty on Tuesday, to charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli announced the resolution in the case stemming from a shooting incident at a baby shower in October of 2021.

Lower Burrell Police had initially charged Hampton after he injured two people at the event. Hampton has spent more than a year in custody following the incident.

The victims injured in the shooting testified at Tuesday’s hearing and agreed to the plea.

Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio credited Hampton for his time served, sentencing him to a year of parole followed by two years of probation. Due to Hampton’s felony conviction, he is now permanently prohibited from legally possessing a firearm.
