Juvenile Arrested for Germantown Burglary

GERMANTOWN, MD – A young male has been apprehended and charged with a burglary that he allegedly committed on Monday. The incident took place around 12:10 pm in the area of Pickering Ct., Germantown.

Officers responded to a report of domestic violence in progress. Early investigations revealed that the suspect was armed with a knife and handgun, and had tried to force entry into an acquaintance’s home but left the scene shortly after.

When officers identified the suspect, he fled towards Pickering Dr., prompting a perimeter to be established.

 He was later apprehended in the 13000 block of Waters Landing Dr., and a backpack containing a knife and an air pistol was recovered.

The suspect was transported to the police station and has been charged with first-degree burglary among other related charges.
