Newark Police Seek to Identify Burglary Suspect

NEWARK, NJ – Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is asking the public for assistance in identifying a male suspect believed to be connected with a burglary that took place on Wednesday, March 8.

The incident occurred between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., at an apartment in the 600 block of Elizabeth Avenue.

Surveillance footage showed two suspects, one of whom had a tattoo between his eyebrows and was wearing a ski mask, black shirt, gray sweatpants, and gray sneakers.

The second suspect, who entered the building from a back door, was seen with a yellow crowbar and an Adidas crossbody gym bag.

Fragé asked anyone with information about the identity of these individuals to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
