NYPD Says Knife Attack on Hispanic Victim was Motivated by Hate

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting public assistance in identifying four suspects involved in a robbery on Saturday.

Early on that day, at approximately 02:30 am, a 39-year-old man was accosted in front of a commercial establishment located at 178 Wyckoff Avenue.

Four unknown individuals attacked the victim, pushing him to the ground and striking him multiple times on the head. One of the attackers displayed a sharp object and slashed the victim’s face while uttering anti-Hispanic remarks.

The attackers then took the victim’s wallet containing approximately $1,000 and assorted identification documents before fleeing on foot.

This incident is currently under investigation by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force. Those with any information about this incident are asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit their tips online at the Crime Stoppers website.
